Let’s warm things up a bit
I can’t remember a winter that’s been as cold as this one. Along with the heap-loads of snow we had over Christmas, this winter turned out to be pretty cold! I am just thankful that this past summer we had some pretty decent weather. To help warm things up a bit, I thought I’d share with you some photos from a wedding we shot last summer that happened to fall on one of the hottest days of 2008!
Kelsey & Michael were likely my most animated couple of 2008. This funny and quirky team really knew how to have a great time. Kelsey was really looking for a retro-chic feel for their wedding and I loved the vintage feel of her wedding dress, shoes and jewellery.
That day was a scorcher, and I really felt for the guys who had to wear suits!
Ceremony & Reception were held at the fabulous Arbutus Club. The couple met in high school and many of their guests happen to be friends from school. In many ways, it felt like a reunion of sorts including some familiar faces…
The evening was filled with some incredibly funny speeches and to the surprise of Kelsey and Michel, there was even a personal congrations on video from one of Kelsey’s favourite boy bands, the Back Street Boys.
It’s incredible how much energy these two had but do I ever feel honored to have captured such fun and animated photos from their wedding day. My stomach muscles honestly hurt from so much laughing!

What an absolutely beautiful wedding! I ADORE her dress! Lovely shots as always, Sandra!
We absolutely loved working with you, Sandra, and we’ve gotten nothing but compliments on your shots.
Thanks for everything!
